Orbi Firmware Won't Update on Satellite.

I have the RBS40 system with one satelllite and purchased another satellite for my network and the new satellite has old firmware. I have been prompted to update the firmware on the app and on the orbi sign on and I have tried to do so both on the app and online on my orbi login automatically and manually wiith no success. The latest version is V2.2.1.210 and my new satellite is on v1.12.8.20. When I manually download the file and try to upload is says this is the wrong version and takes me to the advanced tab on the orbi login?? The auto updates either on the app or orbi login seem to work but when I check have updated nothing?? How do I fix this please?? I should add that I am on mac mojave OS.

Try a middle of the road version to the satellite. I ran into the same issue when upgrading the router to v.14, I couldn't. I had to installed an in between version, then I was able to update to the most current:
