I have pulled an Orbi RBK50 (1 satellite) system out of the box and the firmware is 2.0.0.74. I set it up with not much fuss. On the Android app, it tells me that there is an update 2.0.1.4. When I log into the router from my laptop, it says no firmware updates are available (see screenshot).
Now, when I searched "RBR50 firmware" I see from this Netgear website that there is an 2.1.1.16 update.
Why doesn't either the Orbi app or logging in to the router itself tell me that there is an update?? Should I care?

The newer firmwares have proven to be unstable. Netgear is no longer upgrading Orbi systems to those versions. You are already on the latest satble release.
