Orbi Mesh RBR 20 - Problem PS4

Hallo liebe Community!
Ich habe den RBR mit einem Satelliten installiert. Ich habe das Problem, dass ich, aktuell bei einem PS4 Spiel Probleme mit der Netzwerk-Vebindung habe. Jedoch wenn ich am Satelliten ein Netzwerkkabel anstecke, funktioniert das Spiel ohne Problem. Über WLAN Verbindung zur PS4 baut das Spiel keine Verbindung zum Server des Spiels auf.
Über einen Hotspot (Handy) funktioniert auch alles.
Hoffe jemand hatte schon so ein ähnliches Problem und kann mir weiterhelfen.

Hi FURRYe38,

I have an issue with the WLAN of the Orbi.
The connection to the PlayStation is very well, but I don’t get access to the server of each game.
This issue came up several weeks ago.
If I connect the Orbi directly with the LAN then everything it’s working.

I restart the system several times.
The newest Firmware is installed.

The WLAN connection with the main router of the internet provider it’s working.

However, there is an issue with the WLAN of the Orbi.

I would be very happy about some helpful responses!!

So is the PS wired to the Orbi RBR when it works and if the PS is wireless, it doesn't work?

That’s right.

The wireless connection is working, but I don’t get access to the online function of each game.

Possbile that this could be a PS issue rather than Orbi if the wired portion of the PS works and wireless doesn't. 

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or may not be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Traffic Meter, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set CTS to 2347. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s). Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

If nothing here seems to help, I'd contact Sony for additional help and support regarding the wifi portion of the PS. There maybe a fault here.

thank you for your helpful response.

I tried every proposals!!

In the end just one setting works:

The change from Router mode to Access Point mode.

Now everything is working.

Ah must have a router upstream from the RBR. Glad AP mode works.

Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
