Orbi + OnQ

Hi all, just moved into a new home with an OnQ panel in a closet. The panel has the incoming internet (cable/coax) and a switch that feeds single-gang ethernet ports throughout the house. I have a cable modem (non-router) that takes the coax feed and converts to ethernet sitting in tthe panel as well. I have the Orbi RBK50 router + satellite that I brought from my old house.

My goal: get the wired and WiFi IP to be peers. We have a wired ethernet security system with a wifi console display, and I think they both need to be peers on the network to work correctly.

Normally, I'd go coax -> cable modem -> ethernet -> Orbi WAN -> LAN to switch + WiFi, but the OnQ panel is an awful place for the Orbi (won't fit/bad place for signals).

I was completely ignoring the fact I could just run the coax through to a wall jack -> modem -> modem-to-Orbi WAN -> Orbi -> Orbi LAN to ethernet wall jack. That should work and provide a single network between my wired and wireless devices. OnQ is new to me and when the cable tech enabled my line and stuck the modem in there, I didn't think to change it.
