Orbi RBR 50 - 404 Error when navigating from a link in email

Getting great wifi coverage with my New Orbi system and speed is good too, but hyperlinks embeded in email (both Apple and Google) trigger a 404 Not Found message when clicked ever since we switched on the network. Must be some weird security setting? Help! and Thanks! - Steve

I put the Orbi in AP mode and that seemed to fix the problem.
Did nothing else. Radios on the ATT 5268AC are still active.
Thanx for the fix.

What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?

Re: Orbi RBR 50 - 404 Error when navigating from a link in email
I’m having the same problem. I kept my other WiFi network up while we test the Orbi and only the Orbi network has the problem. It’s mostly when clicking links in e-mails. When the browser window comes up it’s usually a 404 error. I also noticed that many pictures in e-mails don’t download. Like I said. I have the previous network running redundantly and the problem doesn’t exist there.
‘’Could it be a security setting in the Orbi? It’s a bummer because the coverage is insanely great!
Any ideas? Netgear?

Is the Orbi system operating in Router or AP mode?

Re: Orbi RBR 50 - 404 Error when navigating from a link in email
Hi Group:
Here is the requested info:
Orbi Model RBR50
Firmware V2.3.1.60
Modem is ATT 5268AC (It's branded ATT but could it be PACE?)
I don't know how to tell what mode the Orbi is in whether it is Router or AP
I suspect it's in Router Mode.

Re: Orbi RBR 50 - 404 Error when navigating from a link in email
Your ISP modem has a built in router already. This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
