My Orbi RBR50v2 has been working for several months just fine. But today it died. It stopped working. I powered it off and back on. It powers up enough to start giving DHCP addresses and I can ping it, but the web interface never comes up and I can't configure it at all. The power light is green, but the ring light has a slow pulse of white and stays that way indefinitely. I've powered it off and on 10 times, no change. I've disconnected from modem, I've changed power supply, no change.
I tried the hard reset by holding the reset button down for 60 seconds. It changes to amber, then flashing amber, then shuts off. But after all that, it isn't reset to factory defaults - it still comes up with the same IP range and network name I changed it to. It is not being factory reset. I tried the 30-30-30 approach, still no factory reset. How do you reset one of these?
I called support, and they want me to buy 3 months of service to talk to someone - $50. I paid and after waiting on the phone for an hour I got disconnected. I've tried to call back several times and keep getting disconnected. Maybe they're having phone problems?
Is there no other way to do a hard reset on this Orbi? Any other ideas?
