Orbi Satellite with non-Orbi Router

Can an Orbi satellite be hooked up with a Netgear router? 

The Satellite is: Netgear Orbi Satellite RBS20 for indoor use only

The Router is: Netgear AC1900 Cable Modem Voice Router, Model: C7100V

I was trying and they weren't connecting.  It would be good to know if it's even doable before I try more...

The router is hooked up and working fine.  I just want to be able to add the satellite to it, if it's compatible.

No. it won't work. 

The only satellites that work without an orbi router are the RBS40V and the RBS50Y as they have an extender mode.
