Orbi Voice RBS40V Smart Speaker Only
I have the Orbi Voice extender that never worked properly despite numerous attempts to fix with customer service.
Out of frustration, I decided to purchase the Nighthawk MK63 AX1800 and set a wifi 6 mesh system, which seems to initially work. I would like to use the Orbi voice as a smart speaker, so it is not a total loss. I reset to factory settings, as I could not get it to work as a smart speaker. I connected it via Ethernet to one of my Nighthawk satellites. It works, but it is not recognized by Orbi app.
Is there a better way to set it up so it is a wireless smart speaker and not the WiFi extender that never work properly? The smart speaker was fine, despite its limitations.

Re: Orbi Voice RBS40V Smart Speaker Only
The Orbi RBS40V works in two different 'modes'
- Attached to an Orbi router as an Orbi satellite (which is how mine is set up)
- Attached to "any WiFi router" as an Extender (This would include Nighthawk routers)
The installation guide describes how to change the mode of the satellite:

The product data sheet says to use the Nighthawk app in extender mode, not the Orbi app:
