Orbi Whole Home WiFi System
Hello from Sydney, Australia. I bought the Orbi Whole Home WiFi System and tried to set it up. It seemed to connect for about five minutes, then would no longer connect. I continually get a message that says 'Unable to join the network ORBIXX'. I live in a share house and my housemates who are all working from home need to access it. A few issues when trying to re-establish a connection: using the app, I 'personalised' the Orbi wi-wfi name and password to that of the existing one in the house, so I can now no longer identify or access the Orbi one separately (it shows as the house wi-fi name and password). The app also sends me into a one-way spiral of continually resetting the system up, always unsuccessfully, and there is no 'menu' on the app for any alternatives. Any advice on what to do? Please use plane or easy English were possible, I am not very 'tech literate' - thank you!

Re: Orbi Whole Home WiFi System
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
