Orbi WiFi System showing 404 error

My router and two satelittes were doing very well until about a month ago. Possibly a power surge threw off the satelittes.
Now, I am getting 404 errors on my iphone 10 when I am on wifi. It occurs when I click to a link within a website. Then when I type a website address in the broser, I get a screen requiring a username and password fo the sites which would normally not require a login.(like the opening page for ebay.) I was at a coffee shop today, and didn't experience the problem. Also don't have the problem when at home, not on wifi.If memory serves me correctly, when I was at a hotel last week on their wifi, I had the problem. Is there something on my iphone that has an incorrect setting?

You model modem has a built in router and wifi. What mode is the modem working in? Modem only mode or router mode. If router mode, This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

Re: Orbi WiFi System showing 404 error
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Is the the only wifi device to experience this?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back on been performed since last update?

Re: Orbi WiFi System showing 404 error
I just tried the one minute thing and I think it fixed it. I had not left it off for that long when I rebooted.
Thank you.
The router firmware is V2.5.1.22
The modem is from AT&r-A Pace Model 5268AC FXN
I only have this Orbi wifi in the house.

Re: Orbi WiFi System showing 404 error
I had set up my modem as a bridge. Thank you for the information.
Actually, a previous post suggesting that I give a one minute time to reboot if what fixed the problem
Thank you.
