Hello Timnex
Yes orbi can be set as a AP mode and work with other routers.

Re: Orbi and xfinity
You can also ask Comcast to bridge the Wifi network so that there is only one wireless system.

to be honest with you its not a good idea to run a different transmission with the same ssid name as the orbi system as this will confuse the clients as the orbi system will be trying to steer the clients etc , i would only do this is the primary transmission is well away from the orbi router or sat to avoid wifi confusion and voodoo

Re: Orbi and xfinity
I am running only one wireless using one SSID from Orbi. My Xfinity router is not transmitting Wifi because I had it turned off.

Re: Orbi and xfinity
hi
good , just pointing out to others as well that its not wise to run the orbi with wifi next to another router with wifi on as well never mind running the same ssid name on both as this would create wifi voodoo 🙂
