Orbi - backhaul and fronthaul

that article says "Delivering data to your devices is one thing, but getting it back to whichever node is connected to an outside access point (like your modem) is another thing entirely. This return is known as "backhaul," and it's an important aspect that shouldn't be overlooked when choosing a mesh system." -- therefore backhaul is one-way. Yes?

Where's a hardcore network engineer when you need one, eh? 🙂

Are you going to set up wired back haul? 

Most any networking over RJ45 is bi-directional.

No, of course not: It is bi-directional, simple Gigabit Ethernet network. Don't believe all the (mostly unqualified bla blah) words you read in these many Internet and paper publications (with many not worth the paper). 

Hardcore network engineers deploy a wired switched network and install wireless access points to it, probably with multiple SSID to access dedicated security zones represented by 802.1Q VLANs and the related routing and security gateways. Backhaul and fronthaul are mostly used other kind of networks, e.g for mobiles with 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies  8-)
