Orbi overnight speed decrease
Trying to figure out why wireless speed drops while logged off overnight. I routinely get 200+ MBPS all day through the wireless connection...however, after logging the computer off at night, then logging back on the next morning, speed is ~45 MBPS. Toggling the wireless connection at the computer off very briefly, then back on, speed returns to 200+. This is 100% repeatable.
Computer is a 2017 iMac, running OS Catalina, all software up to date. Orbi is on v2.3.5.30 firmware. Cable internet service, rated at 200 MBPS. When I log off the computer each night, it remains powered up and will go into sleep mode. AFAIK, the wireless connection remains after logoff, or else it reconnects each morning in some odd mode.
Didn't notice this until we recently switched to cable internet service and started doing random speed tests to confirm service integrity. Our previous ADSL service sucked (a miserable ~7 MBPS) so did not really have a reason to be testing speed until now. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Orbi overnight speed decrease
Modem is a Hitron E31N2V1 (supplied by internet provider), but I can't see how it would matter. The Orbi router handles all DHCP assignments, etc. and the issue is limited to wireless connection.

Re: Orbi overnight speed decrease
What is the mfr and model# of this wifi adapter that the PC is using?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
If you turn OFF The RBS, does the RBR show the same problem?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
You might update to v16 on the system, factory reset and setup from scratch. https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/RBR50-RBS50-Firmware-2-5-1-16-Update/m-p/1897955/highlight/tru...
