Orbi stopped working out of box

I purchased the RBK50 to solve my issues with Nighthawk not reaching the entire house and signals being very weak in my lower level. Setup was fairly painless, had router and satellite working, ran a speedtest and was immediately thrilled with the results, and then the internet disconnected during a second speedtest in another room. I opened the orbi app to see what was going on and it prompted me to update the firmware. Now it won’t connect to the internet, AT ALL. I have been rebooting it and messing with it for over an hour and nothing. I thought this system was praised for how it just simply works. Any ideas?

Whats the mfr and model# of the ISP modem? Any built in router here?


Try a factory reset of the router and satellite and set up from scratch.


Any other wifi neighbors near by? If so, how many?


My Setup (Cable 900Mbps/50Mbps)>CAX80(Modem Mode)>RBK853 v3.2.16.6(Router Mode)
