Orbi updated now cant connect desktop with linksys usb adapter
I have a CBR40 with 2 RBS50 satelittes. The linksys USB AE1200 adapter was connecting to the RBS50 just fine and worked for a month with zero issues. The latest ORBI update has rendered it useless and the USB adapter fails to connect to the WIFI. It detects it but just wont connect. Ive isolated it to the ORBI system as the USB adapter will connect and work with the WIFI hotspot from my phone. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks!

Re: Orbi updated now cant connect desktop with linksys usb adapter
The Linksys USB adapter is in a Windows desktop? Have you told the computer to "forget" the Orbi Wi-Fi name and then connect from scratch?
The "new firmware" is the release that is available to manual installation (2.3.0.32)?

In case you dont have the current firmware -- I recommend before you start any other troubleshooting, you update to the current (.32) firmware which has improved backhaul reliability.
The trick on the upgrade is that your RBR50 has to be updated to an intermediate firmware version (2.2.1.212) before going final with the .32 version.
Here is the link for the intermediate firmware:

The final version (2.3.0.32) is found here:
https://kb.netgear.com/000060603/RBR50-RBS50-Firmware-Version-2-3-0-32
You will flash satellites as well as the router.
Recommend you be connected to your router via ethernet (rather than wireless) to do the flashing.
Also, flash the router to the intermediate version, then after reboot, flash satellites to the final version and then flash the RBR50 to the final version (in that order).

You can use the following link for BOTH FW files now:
