Problems with VOIP/SIP (dropping calls) since using Orbi-System
we are using two Orbi RBK50 each with two satellites in the same LAN (192.168.30.xxx). Both working in Access Point mode.
We are using two sets because customers office is situated in an huge old buiding and we didnt get good connection on the upper floor with only one router + satellites.
Problem is: since Orbis are in place customers experiencing phone calls dropping while talking. They are using a telephone system called Octopus (dont know what exact type, but a rather big one with at least 3 rack units) by german Telekom. Their tech-supports says that calls "get lost" somewhere in the network. Unfortunately we dont have managed switches available to track network traffic in depth.
While in AP-mode many options on the menue are shown grayed out, but we wanted AP-mode so that we have transparent access to local network ressources for members of staff.
Currently all Orbis are shut off, phone calls are working like a charme again.
Any ideas on that matter?
