Question - should changing the Orbi 5ghz channel not change the satellite as well as router?
So I've run a scan of my home and located the least used channel, and wish to configure my Orbi to use the least used 5ghz channel. Using the web UI, I change the 5ghz channel to 44 and apply. Wait for the Orbi to restart.
Using Wifi Explorer, I can see the Orbi router is now using channel 44, but the satellite is still using channel 36. Should the satellite not change to the same channel I selected? And if so, how do I get it to change?
There are no separate channel settings for the satellite that I can find, and restarting the satellite makes no difference. This has been done directly from a factory reset and fresh setup, so there are no unusual configuration changes that might apply.

Re: Question - should changing the Orbi 5ghz channel not change the satellite as well as router?
What happens if you reboot the satellite and soon after reboot the router?
How is the satellite connected to the router>? Wiress or wired?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials.
