RBK 53 can I use the router also as a satellite?
Hi Comunity, can someone help me?
I have 2 sets of the Orbi RBK53, so its 2 routers and 4 satellites. I would likt to use just the one router and have 5 satellites. Do you know if there is some workaround to tell the router: be a satellite? If I plug in the router it starts to set au a whole new network, sure.
Thanks a lot
Christian

Re: RBK 53 can I use the router also as a satellite?
there is a work around to convert an RBR50 into an RBS50.
But you won't find it on the official forums. (try googling it)
And there's a good chance you brick your device.
Might be worth hanging onto the RBR50 in case the other one fails. When you have that many satellites, if the primary router goes bad, you're stuck with a lot of $ tied up with nothing to control them.
