So I have the RBK50 router connected to sprectrum modem (not wifi modem). i have spectrum 400mps speed. wirless out of Orbi gets 400-450mps all day long. problem is my ethernet ports only allowing 100mps best..usally 90-100mps range. i have used cat 5e, cat 6, different computers, tvs, etc and no matter what these are max speeds i get.
appreciate any insights

Ok...didn't understand 😬
lomg story short....all pots allows up to 1gb. Problem is apparently all TVs typically have 10/100 Ethernet , and turns out my laptop also has same. When I connected my Orbi satellite via Ethernet...it was pulling the 400+MBs speeds.

Very strange indeed. What connection rate shows up on the Orbi web interface, Advanced Tab Home Page, click on "Show Statistics"?
How is the speed being measured?

Re: RBK50 ethernet port only 100mps
Thanks for the screen shot. Looks like LAN1 should support higher speed, while LAN3 will not.
This is another time when I wish Netgear had numbered the ports 1, 2, 3 so we would know which one we are using without having to pull the cable out and see which one disappears.
If the computer is attached to the 1000mb port, then it certainly should get more than 100mb.
Speed is being measured with something like speedtest.net or fast.com?

Re: RBK50 ethernet port only 100mps
yes online speed test sites..tried them all same results. i dont understand why one port puts out 1G but 2 dont? stupid. im going to hook computer to all 3 ports and see what happens.

Thanks for experimenting. I don't suppose you noticed if the 1000mb connection "moved with" the computer? i.e. I'm pretty certain that "port 2" is in the middle (between port 1 and port 3). I just don't know which side port 1 is on. So, when the computer was iin Port 2, that was the port that reported 1000mb?

Re: RBK50 ethernet port only 100mps
This maybe a HW issue, not a FW issue.
Try a factory reset on the RBR and setup from scratch. if this fails to correctly the speed rate, you may want to get the RBR replaced if after troubleshooting everything.
