RBR40 not connecting to the cable modem
HI,
I am getting this error cannot connect to xfinity internet.
My modem is a Arris SB6190 and ORBI RBR40 router.
I connected to the TV going from cable modem to TV using the wired connection.
I can see the ORBI46 on my WIFI and when I enter the WIFI password is says connected.
But the ORBI RBR40 cannot to the Arris SB6190 cable modem

Re: RBR40 not connecting to the cable modem
You have just the sb6190 going to the orbi?
i'm confused by your statement of connecting the modem to the tv.
Not sure why you did that, if you've got it connected to the tv plus the router through a switch? You weren't very clear on this?
What firmware is on the orbi?
Try this.
power off the orbi and the modem and disconnect everything from both. even coax from the modem. Wait 2-3 minutes.
connect the coax back to the modem and power it on. wait 2 minutes
connect the modem to the RBR40.
power the orbi on and give it several minutes to fully boot.
attempt setup.

Re: RBR40 not connecting to the cable modem
The Orbi router must be connected directly to the cable modem with an ethernet cable.
From the Orbi WAN port (yellow) to the modem.
WiFi routers will broadcast the WiFi signal even when they are not connected to the internet. In this case, the term "connected" means connected to the WiFi.
