Bought a second hand RBR50 from eBay, currently it wont boot correctly, attached a USB > Serial adapter and it intermitently will boot up but a lot of the time it will stop at this stage in the boot process

If it does get past that stage (not all the time) it will display the following

Reading on here it seems to be a known issue with a firmware upgrade, I have attempted to re-flash the firmware however this never resolves the error. Is this router bricked now or is it possible it can be recovered?

On a side note, when its powered on the power light stays solid green (never changes, even when doing the 30-30-30) and the ring lights sometimes flash white.

Re: RBR50 Wont Boot

If it won't boot, it is defective. If it was represented as "working", then return it for a refund.  If it was advertised, "parts only" or some such thing, you're screwed.

Re: RBR50 Wont Boot

Thanks, I had looked at them already, but seems to confirm that this is more a hardware issue than a software issue Smiley Sad, I did buy it as parts only, hoping it could be fixed, but wasn't the most expensive so at least I have learnt a bit along the way.
