RBR50 bricked again, during update to 2.7.3.22, power LED only sold green

Man am I sick of this!

I have been putting off updating to 2.7.3.22, but decided to try it because I want the security fixes.

After "update all" from the web GUI the wifi came up again as expected, but the web GUI was no longer available. It appeared as though http://10.0.0.1 redirected to https://10.0.0.1, but no response from there. After half a day I decided to power cycle the RBR50, but it never came back up at all.

So, the last time my RBR50 died, a year ago, I managed to revive it using the TFTP method:

https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/RBR50-power-LED-blinking-green-now-appears-hung-or-dead/td-p/1...

This time it is a little different though. After power on the power LED goes straight to solid green. No top ring LED and no Ethernet LEDs.

I have tried a different power supply.

I have connected a single PC as before, with a static IP, but I am not seeing any ping response from 192.168.1.1 after router power on.

I have tried holding the reset button 10, 20 and 30 seconds, holding it in for 30 seconds, powering off for 30 seconds, waiting another 30 seconds and releasing, no change.

No matter what I do I cannot get the power LED to show anything but solid green, or any of the other lights to do anything at all.

My last resort would be the method described in this thread:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/Is-my-13-month-old-RBR50-bricked/m-p/2009904

I really don't want to go through all that for nothing though, and since my scenario is different than the one described in the thread, I'd like to check other options first.

Any thoughs?

I have a similar issue with 2.7.3.22 on one Windows 10 laptop.  The URL entry is really sensitive. Sometimes I enter http://10.0.0.1 and it goes bonkers.  Other times, it works correctly.

I suggest a few more tries, perhaps with different browsers.

I did try a few different browsers, on different devices.

Regrettably I am way past that now, the device isn't offering an SSID, responding to ping or even reacting in any way to any of the reset procedures I've tried.

I don't know if this is too late for you, but my I had to load firmware into my RBR40 and only got the green light like you said.

After trying may things, I noticed that if I held the reset button in while booting the light flashed (orange/red), but went to green as soon as I released it.

I tried again and could ping it at 192.168.1.1 while holding in the reset and the light was flashing (after power on).

I then tried to do the tftp while still holding down the reset button and it worked.

Good luck.

I do not get any reaction at all holding in the reset button, during power-up or otherwise. Still tried pinging 192.168.1.1 during boot with and without the reset button. Nothing.
