RBR50 - not getting full speeds
Hi All,
so i recently got cable Gigabit internet.
i have noticed that the speed is degrading once it passed every router / satelite
Current setup:
Cable modem/router --> orbi router (wired)
Two satelites connected via wireless backhaul (not daisy chain, star connection)
Laptop connected directly to the modem --> 900 +- mbit
laptop connected directly to rouer --> 500 +- mbit
laptop connected to satelite --> 280+- mbit
All wired connections, tests done with the same cable and laptop. when i run the speedtest in the orbi app or website, I get around 900 mbit as well.
Actions I have done so far:
-factory reset the orbi router and set it up again
- Disable wifi signal in cable modem / router
- add the orbi router into the DMZ zone
Firmware version: V2.7.2.104
Orbi RBR50
Any tips on how i can troubleshoot this?
Thanks!

Re: RBR50 - not getting full speeds
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? I would try this, be sure to not enable Armor, Access Controls, Circle or Traffic Meter. Run a speed test with Ooklas installable speed test app on the laptop.
You'll not see anything near 900Mpbs on 5Ghz AC wit wireless devices. Mast max out at around 400-500Mpbs. Depends device hardware support. You shoul need near 900Mpbs on ethernet thru the RBR.
