RBR50 rebooting hourly

RBR50 w/ 1 RBS50 Satellite ~ 30 feet (synchs blue)

Firmware 2.3.1.44

Spectrum w/ Arris TM1602 modem

WPA2-PRK [AES]

House 2,700 sq ft

Edge of Neighbor's house ~110 feet can see their wifi very low signal

Router is resetting frequently. Today has been every hour..

2.4 is set to channel 11.

Beamforming is on.

MIMO is on

Daisy-Chain is on

When router goes into factory reset/update mode if I plug internet directly into computer internet is available, so doesnt seem like the cable is the issue.

Reset it to factor default yesterday

Any suggestions?

Re: RBR50 rebooting hourly

How do you see that the Router is rebooting? Do you see in the Logs (in the web GUI under >> ADVANCED >> Administration >> Logs) that the router is initialized?

A few of the times I've been sitting there when it starts pulsating white.

Yes, log looks like this, rarely see entries spanning longer than an hour.

Re: RBR50 rebooting hourly

Seems to me in this case, a factory reset would be the first steps I would take.  You have the current firmware version according to your post.

Re: RBR50 rebooting hourly

I've reset it a couple of times and it seems to have reset itself once as well...

Re: RBR50 rebooting hourly

I like using the paperclip method after a cold start on each unit in the RBK5x and let the hardware do its thing. Base unit first of course. After everything's up, you can go into the web gui and make requisite settings changes.

Re: RBR50 rebooting hourly

Since you only have 1 satellite, I would disable Daisy Chain.

Did you reset both base and satellite and setup from scratch?

The router reboot can be caused by IP loops, what wired devices do you have attached to Orbi please?

Re: RBR50 rebooting hourly

Just turned off Daisy Chain.

I don't think I've done the factory reset on the Satellite at least not in the last few days. Will give that a try.

Normally I have a Windows 10 PC connected via hardware, but I've eliminated that over the last 23 hours or so.

Re: RBR50 rebooting hourly

Did a factory reset on the satellite about 10 hours ago. Went down at least once while asleep, but the log indicates it's been up a little over 5 hours at this point so that feels like progress.

Are you using Auto or manual channels?

Re: RBR50 rebooting hourly

2.4 is set to 6

5.0 is set to 48

Got home, power is on but router not broadcasting SSID. Satellite Magenta.

Cycled the power on the router and its now back.

Something odd I noticed this morning. In the Admin console the router had assigned 192.168.1.2 to two different devices, one on 5.0 and the other on 2.4. Any clues?

The only device that has a hard IP is a wireless printer that's on .191.

Re: RBR50 rebooting hourly

I would make contact with NG support. Posible bad system. Ask about an RMA.

Sounds good. Let us now how it turns out. Hopefully NG can fix this.
