Router (RBR50) Pulling Incorrect DNS Servers from Modem
Orbi RBR50 (Firmware Version V2.3.1.60) keeps pulling incorrect DNS servers from ISP via ISP's modem. Spent an hour on the phone with the ISP's tech support with them reading the IPs back to be. The DNS server IPs being pulled are the old ones from the ISP. It seems like the Orbi has those stuck in it's settings and will only disregard if I swap to manual input of DNS vice auto.

Re: Router (RBR50) Pulling Incorrect DNS Servers from Modem
Did you power off both the modem and the Orbi? Restore power to the modem first, and after it comes up, restore power to the Orbi?

Yep, tried that three times yesterday. Same result each time.

Re: Router (RBR50) Pulling Incorrect DNS Servers from Modem
Have no idea how this could happen. I would change to Google's DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
Many people do that on purpose anyway.

Re: Router (RBR50) Pulling Incorrect DNS Servers from Modem
It might help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router.

Re: Router (RBR50) Pulling Incorrect DNS Servers from Modem
I agree. Pretty much a black eye if the ISP tech support didn't detect an issue with their equipment not refreshing DNS servers.
