Time Machine and Orbi RBS50
Hi, is it possible to use the USB ports on both the main and satellite for printer and disks, and to perform Time Machine backups? thanks

Re: Time Machine and Orbi RBS50
Right now the USB is only used for printers with ReadyPrint.

Re: Time Machine and Orbi RBS50
DarrenM — I spoke with a NETGEAR pre-sales rep yesterday about this very topic. He said the USB 2.0 port would, in fact, work with a hard drive and Apple’s Time Machine.
So, will it or won’t it?

Re: Time Machine and Orbi RBS50
Hello MajorWebUser
Orbi has not been updated to use Readyshare features as of right now it only officially supports Readyshare print for printers via the USB.

Re: Time Machine and Orbi RBS50
Per an employee via chat regarding Orbi and USB Port for Time Machine:
"Currently, the ORBI's USB port is only for printers. It's not available for external storage, yet. NETGEAR is planning to add it as a feature but we do not have the exact date as to when it will be released. All users will be informed once the feature is available. I apologize again for the inconvenience."
It looks like it does not work yet but they hope it will in the future.
