Which LED's? All ring LED's will light briefly during setup or after satellite connectivity's status change for few seconds and will then turn off, so in stable condition all ring LED's will be off.

There are two LED's on Orbi, please see below:

  1. Ring LED is off in normal operation mode, so you should have it off during night unless there are disturbances in the network. Do you have the Ring LED on at any time? Which color?
  2. Power LED is on as long power is on. You can turn it off only by powering off the node! 🙂

Re: Turn off LEDs on RBK23

As I mentioned, The Ring LED is normally off, so you should have it off during night unless there are disturbances in the network.

If it turns blue or magenta often then you have instability in your network. If you use wireless backhaul then you need to check your radio network and improve the coverage between the router and satellite so the LED on the satellite will then always be off.

What is the distance between your router and satellite?

This can be a reason why the link is unstable. What does the web GUI say about the link status for the satellite, Good or Poor?

  1. Do you have the possibility to get them closer?
  2. Any possibility to get the satellite wired to the router?
  3. If not possible to get the nodes closer and not possible to wire them, you can probably add a RBW30 satellite in between to provide enough overlapping between the nodes?
