Two systems, one network
I have an older home, that is split level (5 levels) and very long. The ceilings and walls are rock lathe and plaster (1" thick).
Currently I have an Orbi system, but I am having signal issues with a 2.4 - N tablet that is one floor and two rooms away from the base. I'm getting under 6 mbps and lots of throughput issues. I have a CAT 5e line from one side of the house (office) to the other (in the garage). It does run gigabit w/o any issues.
Would it be possible to add another Orbi system like this:
Office:
- Router and modem
- CAT5e run t9 Garage
Garage
- Second Orbi Router in AP mode
Then I can place a satellite above each?

Hello BrainJenkins
Yes you can do this but it would create a 2nd network.

Re: Two systems, one network
You can but the devices will not automatically switch to each network.
