I have an Orbi RBS40 with 3 RBS20 satellites. Is there an upgrade for the RBS40 that can be purchased that the satellites will work with. Would it make sense to do so?

Re: Upgrade Orbi RBS40
You can get a RBR50, if you can find them. Orbi AC series RBS are not compatible with Orbi AX systems.

Re: Upgrade Orbi RBS40
What he's saying is the AC (wifi 5) series of orbi (RBK20, RBK30, RBK40, RBK50) series satellites aren't compatible with the newer AX (wifi 6) routers.
The only upgrade for your series if you want to keep your satellites is to go to the RBR50. The RBR50 has a wider 1733mbps backhaul.
Sadly, it won't really improve your satellites speeds at all as you're satellites use the narrower 866mbps backhaul that the RBS40's use.
So your upgrade won't help much if you go to the 50 series.
And if you upgrade to a newer AX router, your satellites won't work with it at all.
