Using Orbi RBR 50 Router without Modem
For the last few years I've been using the RBR50, exclusively, as both my router and modem. I have Verizon FiOs. In addition to the router, I have 2 satellites (RBS50 & RBS20).
Everything I've read says that I need a modem from my ISP to run the system, but I am using just those three Orbi devices with little-to-no-issues.
Recently I've updated to a gigabit internet, and am only pulling 826mbps down/930mbps up. What can I do to get closer to the 1000mbps?
Is not using a modem with my system hurting me?

Re: Using Orbi RBR 50 Router without Modem
No. Your getting to near spec speeds. WIred speeds and limitaions of CPUs and connection rates, you only see around 900Mpbs or just over. You not see exatly 1000Mpbs on the wire. Wireless maxes out at around 400-500Mbps on 5ghz depending on the wifi devices design and support.
Your fine.
