Vodaphone gigafast broadband
I have got Vodaphone gigafast broadband being installed on Friday.
The support line says that I will need my PPoE username and password
to use the supplied router\modem as a modem.
What do I need to do to make the Orbi work with it please?

Re: Vodaphone gigafast broadband
There a router built in to the ISP modem?
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly. Then use the Orbi router in router mode.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
Recommended modems to use are ones with out a built in router. If not, then please review one of the suggestions above. Your ISP will be able to help you. Reivew the user manual for the Orbi aswell.

Re: Vodaphone gigafast broadband
Thanks for the replies.
Yes there is a router built in to the modem.
I am hoping that it has a modem only mode like my current Virgin Fibre box and I can disable the router accessing the router/modem from a PC.
The box is a Vodaphone AF81C9 which AFAIK has no manual you can access online.
The useles outsoursed "tech support" could not supply a manual either.

IMO...your best option would be to ask if your IP has a straight modem only type modem. If not, then you're faced with 2 routers in your network, and although it can be done will require configuring like the posts above. Good luck.
