Been enjoying the CBK40 since it arrived. No issues. I set up a friends RBK50 earlier this year:

He's told me of no problems since. Enjoys it. Games and Streams video on it.
There are others with not so much luck. We've been able to help many resolve some of the issues here in the forums however...
Orbi prefers non managed switches when one needs to have one. IGMP needs to be disabled on Managed switches for some reason.
Distance to start on orbi between the base and satellites should be 30 feet upwards to 50-60 feet depending upon building materials.
Modem Combo Units:
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router.
