just did an update RBR/RBS50. Everything works except my iphone 10

My RBR/RBS50 was working beautifully for the past 6 months. I purchased an additional RBS20, connected it and was prompted for an update. Everything in my house has had a strong connection since the update, but my iphone 10 cant keep a connection. My gf's iphone 6 works great and other apple items work, but my phone (which is the main hub for the app) is having major issues. I've been able to run 1 connection speed in the app out of about 12 tries, all other tries gave me a connection error. I've tried rebooting the router, tried doing a new setup and tried 3 times to reboot the modem. Please help!

When everything works great other than a single device, I'm more inclined to believe its related to that device and not the orbi. Occassionally apps, whether its the orbi app or a different app, can cause conflict or issues on a phone. You can use a different phone or the browser to manipulate the orbi.

Very true. When everything else plays ball, it is hard to see how the router can be the guilty party.

 

It can help to tell the mobile client to forget that it was connected to the router. Then recreate the connection.

 

Did you even reboot the phone?

What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

 

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

Try disabling the following and see:
Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
