timeouts pinging router while plugged into satellite ethernet
Apologize in advance for a semi-duplicitious post.
In trying to figure out internet latency problems, I've narrowed down my issues to the Orbi Roter. I am connected to a satellite via ethernet and here is a sample of my ping to the router:
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=429 ttl=64 time=5.475 ms
Request timeout for icmp_seq 430
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=431 ttl=64 time=25.715 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=432 ttl=64 time=25.332 ms
Request timeout for icmp_seq 433
Request timeout for icmp_seq 434
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=435 ttl=64 time=817.698 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=436 ttl=64 time=12.178 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=437 ttl=64 time=8.847 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=438 ttl=64 time=3.528 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=439 ttl=64 time=639.286 ms
Request timeout for icmp_seq 440
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=441 ttl=64 time=4.598 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=442 ttl=64 time=14.871 ms
The satellite reports a good connection (no lights). I suspect there is a problem with the router itself because I've noticed similar problems while connected directly. Feels almost as if though the router is just freezing up a bit once in a while.
Firmware version is V2.0.0.74.
Thanks in advance for anyone who reads this.

Re: timeouts pinging router while plugged into satellite ethernet
You have some seriously large latency. In one of the threads someone mentioned the router CPU running excessivly high. Something on your network may be causing it. Considering you had the same issue when wired to the router means it's not a wifi interference issue - correct?
It certainly sounds like you need a call into support to diagnose this.
But I would also make sure to turn off UPnP as it caused a similar issue for me.
