2 Switch Stack with Different Switches
Can I create a switch stack with a GS728 and GS748? Do the switches have to be the same model for this to work? I am looking to create several LAGs across two switches for resiliency purposes.
Model: GS728TS(B)|ProSAFE 24-Port Gigabit Stackable Smart Switch with 4 SFP uplinks, GS748TPS|48 ports ProSafe Gigabit Stacking Smart switch with PoE|EOL

For the GS728TS and the GS748TPS the answer is yes.

All GS724TPS, GS748TPS, GS724TS and GS748TS models can be mixed in a stack.

Sure, this is possible - typical advantage of these stacked switches.
