Connect XS708T to Cisco WS-C3650 via SFP+
Hi,
We use mostly Cisco switches, this is my first time trying to connect Netgear switch XS708T to Cisco switch via SFP+ 10Gb uplink. If someone has experience with this kind of arrangements, could you share your idea with me. Thank you.

Re: Connect XS708T to Cisco WS-C3650 via SFP+
Hi Perry,
Let's keep it simple: Anything typical (short passive DAC, longer active DAC, SFP+ single or multimode fiber modules, 10G RJ45 copper) that works for your Cisco switches will work on the XS708T. Be aware Netgear does not have any support e.g. for tuneable DWDM-SFP10G +/-50 GHz (Cisco list price USD 20500 - yes, an SFP module ...!). Desperately want Netgear's support, you have to pay the high price tag for the official Netgear modules - not much different if you are used for Cisco. Alternate you can deploy modules or DAC from the "free" market. As Netgear isn't enforcing picky things ref. the module vendor ID burned, the limited factor. That's it.
Anything specific you intend to configure the SFP+ link with?
Regards,
