Fs726 Config, debian
I have just got the FS726 unmanaged switch, I have 4 devices but only 2 have proper adapters to get an internet connection. I am wondering if possible of i can configure the switch to be able to share wifi resources to my other devices. My only connection to the internet is through a wifi connection via Atheros USB adapter and 1 PC wifi adapter. I am using Ubuntu for 2 devices and kali linux on the other two.
I would like to connect internet to all devices, or at least be able to access the resources. Also I would like to mention one of the Kali linux runs off of a live boot USB.
I would like to keep the network as secure as possible as well.
any help? I am new at networking and I would like to learn about the capabilities and the how to .

Re: Fs726 Config, debian
Welcome to the community! 🙂
I am wondering if possible of i can configure the switch to be able to share wifi resources to my other devices.
It is NOT possible. The FS726 is an unmanaged switch and therefore, there are no settings to configure. The main purpose of the FS726 is to extend the LAN.
My only connection to the internet is through a wifi connection via Atheros USB adapter and 1 PC wifi adapter.
Since you mentioned that you have a wireless connection to the internet, do you have a wireless router?
How is everything connected? It would be best if you post a detailed diagram of your current network setup.
