I have GS108T V2 switch with firmware version 5.0.0.8 and am trying unsuccessfully to update to 5.4.2.33.
Using HTTP - 5.0.0.8 is Image 1 and I am able to successfully upload 5.4.2.33 stk file to Image 2. I then activate Image 2 and do a device reboot but switch comes back showing firmware version 5.0.0.8.
it seems firmware version 5.4.2.33 will not install.
This 5.0.0.8 reads like a internal of factory default firmware never really intended for production. Head to the https://www.netgear.com/support/product/GS108Tv2.aspx#download - click on "Show previous versions" and pick one of the very early 5.0.1.x versions and update the switch firmware in a stacked way.

Thanks for the tip! Staggered upgrades worked. Actaully thought about doing staggered upgrades but did not see the + View Previous Versions link and thought earlier firmware versions were not available..
