Hello,
I have multiple GS105E V2 switches and setting up two vlans between them is no problem. My TV Vlan en Network VLAN are working fine.
Because I have multiple connections next to my Router I added a GS108E v3 switch and setup that indetical.
VLAN 802.1q -> Advanced mode:
When I connect two GS105EV2 switches all works fine. But the GS108EV3 will not work. As stated the above setup is indentical on all my switches.
Is there a known issue or did I miss somting? Would like to use my 8 port switch in the center of my network/

I already found the solution. For my TV Vlan IGM Snooping need to be turned off on the GS108Ev3 switch. Strange is that for the GS105Ev2 it doesn't make any difference if IGMP Snooping is turned off or on.

Re: GS108Ev3 and GS105Ev2 VLAN Setup problem
Firmware on all switches updated to the current versions as per https.//netgear.com/support ?
What exactly does not work on that GS108Ev3?
Have all the required VLAN configured on the GS108Ev3?
Have a VLAN trunk configured between the GS108Ev3 and a GS105Ev2 with each VLAN tagged for the link (or the base VLAN untagged and set the PVID on both ends accordingly)?
Have configured an access port on the "non-working" GS108Ev3 to participate on this one VLAN, untagged, and same VID and can't get a connection to the same VLAN on the other switches?
PS. To avoid confusion, the subject should be "GS108Ev3 and GS105Ev2 VLAN Setup problem"

Re: GS108Ev3 and GS105Ev2 VLAN Setup problem

Yes the newest i could find
- GS105Ev2 -> Firmware V1.6.0.6
- GS108Ev3 -> Firmware V2.06.14
What exactly does not work on that GS108Ev3?
- Connection from my TV VLAN (number 9 is not established)
Have all the required VLAN configured on the GS108Ev3?
- Yes I have on VLAN 1 (Normal network) and 9 (TV)
Have a VLAN trunk configured between the GS108Ev3 and a GS105Ev2 with each VLAN tagged for the link (or the base VLAN untagged and set the PVID on both ends accordingly)?
- I Used PVID. All default VLANS untaged and vlan 9 taged where I have upling ports
Have configured an access port on the "non-working" GS108Ev3 to participate on this one VLAN, untagged, and same VID and can't get a connection to the same VLAN on the other switches?

Re: GS108Ev3 and GS105Ev2 VLAN Setup problem
Afraid, still waiting for a moderator to approve the screenshots.
Have removed any other VLAN membership from the access port where the TV is connected to?
Where from is the TV VLAN get it's feed from'
Does another switch with a similar config allow to run the TV?
And yeah, used the correct ports configured on both ends for the link? Happened to me before, too...

Re: GS108Ev3 and GS105Ev2 VLAN Setup problem
Hello,
Still the problems with my VLAN setup:
GS105Ev2:
Firmware (V1.6.0.6) :
VLAN Configuration (Advanced 802.1Q)
VLAN 1 Port members 1 till 4
VLAN 9 port members 1 till 9
Where vlan 1 is my genric Internet VLAN and 9 my TV VLAN. Port 5 is dedicated for TV network.
VLAN Memberships:
VLAN 1:
Port 1 till 4 Utagged port 5 bot specified
VLAN 9:
Port 1 till 4 Tagged Port 5 Untagged
Last PVID settings:
Port 1 till 4 PVID 1 ad port 5 PVID 9
When I connect 2 GS105Ev2 to the uplink ports all works as expected. My TV's get a signal from my providers TV network.
I now have a shortage of ports on some locations and want to replace the GS105Ev2 with GS108Ev3 (newer versions as I just bought them).
Connecting the GS108Ev3 to a GS 105v2 work fine for the internet VLAN on the TV VLAN I do net get the network signal from my provider.
The GS108Ev3 config:
Firmware (V2.05.14EN):
VLANS:
VVLAN 1 Port 1 till 7
VLAN 9 Port 1 till 8
VLAN Membership:
VLAN1:
Port 1 till 7 UnTaged
Port 8 not defined
VLAN9:
Port 1 till 7 Taged
Port 8 Untaged
And as wel PVID:
Port 1 till 7 PIVD 1
Port 8 PIVD 9
So all looks oke configured. On this switches Port 8 (last port) is the TV Vlan. Any one an Idea why this is not working?
I will test later as well with 2 GS108Ev3's I think this will work as well fine.
I have no idea how to troubleshoot this Vlan feature futher.
