GS308E - 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Plus Switch
Hi Community,
Is there a way to combine 2 ethernet ports of the switch into a single virtual one for increased bandwidth? It would be more beneficial for data transfer.
Best regards, Bjorn

Re: GS308E - 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Plus Switch
Afraid no, the GS308P does not support any static link aggregation group (LAG) for whatever reason. don't blame the messenger, I've put up the question several times already pointing out the spec discrepancy. considering the same chip does the work as on other GS308EP and GS308EPP siblings.
The GS305EP and GS305EPP switches each support a single static link aggregation group (LAG) with up to four ports.
The GS308EP and GS308EPP switches each support two static LAGs with up to four ports each. That means that one static LAG can support a link of up to 4 Gbps.
Note: Last but not least, implementing a LAG to an (expensive, powerful, 10GbE switch) from a switch with just GbE ports is a little bit a waste of resources in my opinion.

wait. The question was about GS308E; the answer is on GS308P. Is that a typo?
