Re: GS724TPv4 PoE Enable/Disable?
GS724TPv2 I guess - it's the highest hardware version AFAIK.
24-Port Gigabit (Hi-Power) PoE+ Ethernet Smart Managed Pro Switch with 2 SFP Ports and Cloud Managem... p.92./93 .... on the port list, PoE Admin mode Enable or Disable:
...
8. From the Admin Mode menu, select the administrative PoE mode of the port:
•Enable. The port’s capacity to deliver power is enabled. This is the default setting.
•Disable. The port’s capacity to deliver power is disabled.
...

Re: GS724TPv4 PoE Enable/Disable?
I see how to do it on the v2 model. I do not have that model. I have the v4 model. Does it even have PoE?

Re: GS724TPv4 PoE Enable/Disable?
As per https://www.netgear.com/support/ the only GS724xxxV4 is the non-PoE GS724Tv4 https://www.netgear.com/support/product/GS724Tv4.aspx
While talking: There is no risk in connecting any Ethernet equipment to a IEEE compliant PoE capable switch. Netgear does bot make any strange so called passive PoE PSE where voltage can ve applied without any negotiation with the peer.
