Password Registration Alert

I have a new Prosafe Plus GS116Ev2 running FW 2.0.1.26

 

Each time I log in there is an alert warning:

Registration

The product is already registered, no further actions required

 
This is displayed each time and has to be manually closed, very annoying.
How do I turn this off?
 
Other then that so far very happy with the switch.

Hi TJschmidt,

 

Are you logging-in via the web-GUI or via the Prosafe Plus Configuration Utility?

 

Kindly post a screenshot of the alert message.

Sorry for the delayed response. I got confused between creating a Netgear account and opening this TT. Thought the TT was lost.

 

I log in via the Web GUI, have not even installed the Windows App. Same response in FF and IE. Tried Telnet but switch does not appear to support that. Once the alert is dismissed everything seems to work fine. Nice being able to view power speed and stats.

Switch is currently running FW 2.0.1.26, as shipped FW was down rev a couple of minor revisions.

I don't remember if I upgraded FW before or after I registered.

 

Here is the label from the box if that helps.

Have you tried to removed the cache in the browsers you have used like Firefox and IE?

Even better then clearing the cache, same problem on a virgin machine never previously used to access the switch.

Have you already navigated all throughout the web-GUI of the GS116Ev2 if there is a check box or a button that would disable the Registration Alert message that you encounter whenever you login?

Been through all the screens. Only one product registration screen: Help - Registration . If I click  Register it says the switch is already registered.

Hi TJschmidt,

 

Do you have Prosafe Plus utility installed? If none, please download then install.

 

Once installed, let's try this from the user manual:

 

The first time that you select a switch, the Registration screen displays. It has three buttons:
Turn Off. The Registration screen closes. The pop-up screen displays again if the switch is selected 24 hours after the switch is restored to factory default settings.
Remind Me Later. The Registration screen closes. If over 24 hours have passed, and you again select the switch, the Registration screen displays again.
Register Now. If you have an Internet connection, you can register your product at the NETGEAR website.

 

Use Turn Off option then access the switch's web GUI again.
