Static Route Between two FS726T switches ?

My first post here, today 9th July 2021.  Not sure if the right section, please redirect as required.

We have two FS726T switches which I gather are level-2 but with some Level-3 features.

The two switches are on different subnets, 192.168.11.0 and 192.168.10.0

We need to link these two subnets by connecting the two switches together.

Under advanced config there is only  "Static Multicast groups "

I assume that this is not sufficient to have normal TCP traffic communicate between the two?

If not, is there possibly a way by configuring VLAN's ?

Regards and Thanks...

@X-Burt,

Welcome to the community! 🙂

As I have checked the FS726T user manual here, it seems that it is not possible to achieve what you want to implement.

Hi DaneA,

Being a systems person not comms I wasn't sure, thanks for the confirmation.

I have another question but on what (other) Level-3 features there are or not, I will create another post on this.

Regards...

I believe you are referring to Layer 3 features such as routing protocols.  I am sorry to inform you that the FS726T switch does not support any Layer 3 feature.  Kindly check the FS726T data sheet here.

The NETGEAR Business Fully Managed Switches like the M4300 Series Switch Models supports Layer 3 features.  To know more, kindly check the data sheet of the M4300 Series Switches below.

M4300 series Data Sheet - check pages 40-41 for the Layer 3 Services supported
