Switch showing lost packets to router
Hi All,
I`ve had this switch for around 7 months and i`ve been noticing when using my PC in video calls i get occasional freezes. I`ve installed Pingplotter and I can see regular (every 5-10mins) dropped packets from my PC via the switch to the router (192.168.0.1). If I just connect my PC directly to the router its all fine.
I`ve tried a factory reset and have the latest bios for the router. Any suggestions what to try next?
Thanks

Replacing the cables?
trying other ports on the switch?

Re: Switch showing lost packets to router
Thanks, ok so now i`ve tried another switch netgear 4 port and ran it for a few hours and not a single dropped packet.
I connected back the 16 port with exactly the same cables and removed everything and within 5mins i`m getting dropped packets.
So its definintley the 16 port switch causing it.

I would check to see if you're still within warranty on your device.
Click on "mynetgear" at the top. register an account and the device. from there you can check warranty/contact support
