Hi,
I tried to upgrade my firmware. That wend wrong, so I now am stuck with a bricked switch.
Bricked as in: it does show the leds blinking, I cannot access it via smartcontrolcenter, nor can I use it to get access to the network.
I managed to get on the internet by patching this computer to my modem directly, but all other stuff is gone...
Oh I tried:
- factory reset by the button on the front (pressing it 10 or so seconds until it reboots)
- resetting it by the button on the front
- resetting it by breaking the powerline
Help!
Thanks,
Ruud

OK,
I turned the power off for half an hour and to my surprise it came up again....
Problem solved... for now 🙂
Cheers!

Re: gs724tv4 bricked?
Hi Bimmer,
Welcome to our community!
It seems that you were still able to work it out by just turning it off for half an hour. Just in case that the switch would not work anymore, you may just create a chat / case online on NETGEAR support and also be ready with a soft copy of the Proof of Purchase or Invoice of the device for warranty verification. If ever the device is still under warranty, an online replacement will be provided.
Regards,
