syslog on the GS108Tv3

Hell community,

I am running the GS108Tv3 Netgear 8 port managed pro switch. 

I am currently on Software version 7.0.7.1. I recently upgrade as the previous version I was on 7.0.0.x I believe.

In this new version, this switch sends syslog messges incorrectly breaking my parser.

As you can see below, the format is incorrect and its appending a "-1" to the IP address for some reason. This did not occur with the older softrware version. Is anyone aware of the problem or at least know how to get in touch with tech support to see if there is a fix?

@JohnC_V  @DaneA   one more issue for the bug fix list please.

 

Short fix for this would be to check the other flash partition, ensure the previous firmware is in place there, and boot it from there.

 

PS. requested moving this thread to smart managed plus/pro section as not a managed class switch model
