Extend Wifi to Outbuilding 100 feet away from my home
I went to Best Buy and bought the Nighthawk X6 Tri-Band WiFi Mesh Extender. I put it near the router in the house and went to the software to log in. Do I now move the Extender to the outbuilding? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Extend Wifi to Outbuilding 100 feet away from my home
If you have it all setup, you can try moving it to the outbuilding to see if it'll reach. 100ft is a decent distance. make sure your main router doesn't have anything blocking it such as hvac, concrete, foil lined insulation. Another option you could try if the extender won't reach is a powerline setup or MoCa setup if you have coax ran to the outbuilding.

In other words, that's longer than most of us would expect to work reliably.
It is even a long stretch for Powerline, especially of it had fuse boxes and circuit breakers.
An Orbi outdoor satellite might work. But 100ft =~ 30 metres, which is pushing it.
You may need to look beyond consumer hardware.
