I have a powerline adapter that has just stopped working. It has been working for almost 2 years and now the "Pick a plug" LED will not light up. I have tried doing the encryption setup again but I cannot get the pick a plug LED to light up again.

Factory reset?
Tried a different mains socket?

Re: Netgear Powerline 1200 plus no longer working
Like what @michaelkenward said, try a different outlet.
Start with one in the same room as the hub connected to the router.
Reason I recommend this is many things can cause interference on powerline.
If the outlets are on the same circuit, they have the best possible signal. that's to test if they're good or not.
If they can connect on the same electrical circuit, something is likely injecting interference into the powerline line circuit.
If thats the case, then its becomes a case of walking around and unplugging things (or start with the newest devices plugged in).
things that can cause interference:
1. electronics going bad
2. cheap cell phone chargers
3. gfci outlets
4. surge protectors
5. arc fault outlets
6. high draw appliances
7. old/bad/cheap/poorly done wiring
8. again, something going bad. A device that is going bad can start injecting interference into the system.
Even if plugging them into the same circuit doesn't work, it still doesn't mean their bad as whats injecting interference, could be injecting enough to even over come powerline devices on the same circuit. So if it doesn't work, then try in someone else's home and see if they work.

Re: Netgear Powerline 1200 plus no longer working
A factory reset of both devices resolved the issue.
