Never locate each other on the electrical circuit

Just purchased a retail boxed set of the powerline 2000. Followed directions for installation. The 'Pick a PLug' LED comes on solid green briefly when plugging in. Thereafter the 'Pick a Plug' LED goes off and does not come back on. It does does turn red or amber, just goes from solid green to off. Tried EVERY outlet in the house.
