PLW100 not allowing computer to sleep
Hi,
I have a media center PC connected to a PLW1000 powerline adapter via LAN cable.
Whenever the PC is put to sleep/standby, the PLW1000 seems to immediately wake it up again, ie it immediately starts up again.
When I disconnect the LAN cable the PC stays asleep.
The PC is set to be allowed to be woken from LAN, so that my XBox Media Center Extender can wake the PC when it is not running.
When I used a different Powerline adapter from another company, the PC would reliably stay asleep, so I'm assuming the issue is with the PWL1000.
Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks.

Re: PLW100 not allowing computer to sleep
I wonder if it would help to disable sleep mode on the Powerline plug. Maybe its own "intelligence" is getting in the way of the media center. No harm in trying.
Unfortunately, other users have found that it is easier to use Zyxel's powerline utility to turn off sleep mode on the Netgear plugs.

Thanks for the reply.
According to this FAQ, this adapter doesn't have a standy mode?
